Manager Sayat Abdrakhmanov, who represents interim UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan, commented on the possible postponement of the rematch from March 5 to April 9.
“Officially, the fight of Peter Yan has not been rescheduled for April. This option is possible, and it is being discussed, ”the press service of the Archangel Michael club quoted Abdrakhmanov as saying.
Recall that Petr Yan should hold a unification fight against the reigning champion of the organization Aljamain Sterling. The organization of the revenge took the UFC management exactly a year.
Yan lost to Sterling in March 2021 due to a foul – kneeing an opponent in the ground position. Yan later defeated Corey Sandhagen by decision for the interim UFC title.
