The “regular” WBA world super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) David Morrel (8-0, 7 KOs) does not know when he will get a fight with someone eminent, since the absolute champion of his category, Saul Alvarez, will be for a long time out due to injury – and he has other plans, and top guys David Benavidez and Caleb Plant decided to fight each other.
But, says the fugitive Cuban, he is ready after today’s victory for anyone.
A few hours ago, Morrel knocked out the previously unbeaten Aidos Yerbosynuly (16-1, 11 KOs) in the 12th round.
“I don’t think anyone is afraid of me. I respect everyone in this division. But I know they know about me. They now know for sure who David Morrel is, and that he will come for all of them,” said the Cuban. “I want a fight with Benavidez, but in general I don’t care. Ready for everyone.”
