British light heavyweight prospect Dan Aziz (16-0, 11 KOs) is sure that the tandem of American coach Robert Garcia and British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) can already be considered broken.

On August 20, in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Joshua tried to regain the WBA Super, IBF, WBO titles lost in September, but again lost on points to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs).

Garcia’s post-match words caused a huge resonance – he said that Joshua lost mentally. Later, the coach began to prove that he did not say this.

Opinion Aziza: “I just don’t see that after all this they will continue cooperation. Even if he really didn’t say anything about Joshua’s psychology. As for me, this whole situation has done a huge damage to Anthony’s reputation. I don’t know what’s going on in Joshua’s team. Perhaps no one would dare to say this in person to a fighter. But it seems to me that it would be much better than going to the media with this.”

Aziz worries that for the public, “Joshua turned into a weakling in an instant. But everyone knows that in boxing 80% of success depends on your mental state. If your own coach does not believe in you, this is a big problem. If the coach who spent so many weeks with you in the camp says that you are mentally not very good, then it’s rubbish.

Yesterday, promoter Joshua responded to the most furious critics: Some shameful grandfather humor, and also admitted that Usyk is indeed stronger than Anthony mentally.
