As is already known, if the fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion between Briton Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) and Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) still takes place, then the UK will definitely become its venue – The fight is tentatively scheduled for April 29 in London.

At the same time, Saudi Arabia initially claimed to host the megafight, but the parties could not agree.

British promoter Eddie Hearn, who is not participating in the negotiations, shared his opinion on why the fight did not go to the Middle East, not missing the opportunity to “trump” his wards once again.

“The fight will not take place in Saudi Arabia because Anthony Joshua is not involved,” the functionary said. “It’s not a big enough fight. Not big enough to meet Fury’s financial needs. Not big enough because it doesn’t involve Joshua.”

“Joshua is the only guy who can raise that kind of money and I hope we still get a Fury-Joshua fight. And then Tyson will get the numbers he wants, ”added Eddie.
