USA Promoter Lou Dibella (DiBella Entertainment) gave
interview for a local news vlog.

The functionary leads the career of the former absolute lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Australian George Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) and answered questions about the fighters of the light division in a conversation.

Dibella told who he sees as a favorite in the future fight of the undisputed champion from the United States Devin Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) against the former holder of three belts Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs), spoke about the ex-champion in two categories from USA Shakura Stevenson (19-0, 9 KOs) and WBA Gold title holder American Gervont Davis (28-0, 26 KOs).

– Speaking of big fights, George Kambosos had 3 fights: with Teofimo Lopez and twice with Devin Haney …

We are working on something right now. I hope we will have something to announce in the next couple of weeks.

— What is the ultimate goal for Kambosos?

– The ultimate goal is to win the 61.2 kg title again. Personally, I think Devin Haney is too fast, too young, a big favorite to win their fight. This is according to my guesses. I don’t see Devin staying at 61.2kg. After Devin beats Loma, I think the 61.2 kg division will be wide open.

Haney’s interview on Lomachenko: “I’m giving him a chance he didn’t give me”

“But Bill Haney, Devin’s father, said that their plan was for Devin not to move up a category this year, but to stay. Who knows if this is true or not, but this brings Shakur to fight with Devin. Who do you give advantage in such a duel?

– It’s complicated. To be honest, I don’t even know right now. I’ll probably give Devin a slight advantage because of his size, but Shakur is literally a young genius in the ring. I consider Devin and Shakur to be the guys who have the complete package. If there are those who are pursuing Mayweather’s legacy in terms of talent, I think it’s them, top notch talent. Shakur and Devin are the real P4P guys. This is the fight I want to see.

– Where will you put the Tank in this clip?

– The tank hits harder than either of them, which creates an interesting measure.

– Do you see him as a favorite against one and the other?

– I’ll tell you something. I see him as a slight favorite against Ryan, but I’m not sure who will win. There are some really good young guns around 61-63kg. I think the names that sound now are cream. I’m not a Davis hater. I love him as a fighter. I like his kick. He is not the one who takes by quantity, but he wears you out, and then he delivers something big – and you are in trouble. I don’t know. He has the advantage as a puncher against everyone else, but I don’t think he is a boxer like Shakur and Devin.
