Promoter Kalle Sauerland (Wassermann Boxing) does not exclude that the current and former unified heavyweight champions Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and Briton Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) will have a third head-to-head fight in the future.

On August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Usyk defeated Joshua by a split decision, retaining the WBA Super, IBF and WBO titles, which he took away from the Briton in September in London (England).

Joshua did his best
sure sauerland. But he will be back. And keep progressing and learning new things. I do not rule out that someday we will see their third fight. I think that Anthony showed character. You’ll see, he’ll be back. I think that his team made a serious mistake. They needed to have an intermediate fight after Usyk’s first defeat. I spoke about this earlier. I’m sure he understands that too. Or will understand after the end of a career.

Sauerland beautifully commented on the sensational episode when Joshua went crazy after losing to Usyk: “No, I’m not saying that it was a beautiful moment. But in it, we saw how important this fight was for him. We saw that the millions he had previously earned meant nothing to him in comparison with the titles. In the past, I have often criticized him myself. I associated him with the dude from the cover GQ magazine. But he reacted to defeat in the same way that men react. He was angry. It’s my opinion”.

Earlier, Joshua’s coach Robert Garcia said that Anthony lost to Usyk before the final bell, and his promoter Eddie Hearn talked about the date of the comeback and about a possible opponent.
