Former world boxing leader Andre Ward believes that it is time for Gervonte “Tank” Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) and an honor to know, in the sense of finally starting to participate in fights where the chances of losing and winning are approximately equal. Probably, the veteran means Shakur Stevenson, Devin Haney, Vasily Lomachenko, William Cepeda and other, heavier guys.

“If Gervonta doesn’t meet these guys, we can tell he’s avoiding them. But now he, of course, has a winning position, said Andre. “You have to understand that he is Mayweather’s protege, and he taught him how to sell tickets.”

Davis is “explosive, and everyone loves knockouts, and you never know what will happen in a Gervonta fight,” says Ward, and therefore people will go to his fights in any case, regardless of the level of opponents.

Max on Boxing. – You should get paid. Don’t sacrifice it for the legacy. But at some point you have to go to fights 50/50.

“If he goes through [Райана] Garcia, which is not given at all, and then, I think, other similar fights will be waiting for him, ”Ward believes.

The other day Davis reacted to Garcia’s “two rounds” prediction, and yesterday he and his entourage did not like Eddie Hearn’s comment.
