In 2019, the Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin (24-1, 14 KOs) gave a solid fight to the British star Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) and was even close to an upset – he solidly hit the favorite, but the referee and the doctor allowed him to continue fight and snatch victory on points.

Fury is now the WBC champion. With a high degree of probability, he will fight the next fight with the owner of all other division titles, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) – they will determine the first absolute heavyweight champion in the era of four belts.

wallin not
thinks Usyk is a clear underdog: “I agree that it will be very difficult for Alexander. Yes, it’s smaller. But still, it’s not exactly small. How tall is he? Visually, somewhere between 189-192 cm. On Saturday, after Tyson beat Chisora, they met in the ring. Before that, I also said that Usyk is too small for Fury. But in fact, there is not such a critical superiority in anthropometry as is commonly believed.

“Fury remains the favorite for me in this fight anyway,” Wallin continues. – But you should not exclude the apset. Usyk can do it. This is a smart fighter with tremendous experience. Definitely, we can only say that it will be very interesting. Of course I will watch.”

Wallin also remembered the British challenger Joe Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs): “Fury is damn smart. He will try to outbox both. It will even be possible to press and work as the first number. I think that if he succeeds in pushing Joyce, he will seriously simplify his life. After all, Joe is a really cool pepper who throws an incredible amount of punches. It’s hard to choose a favorite here. I think that both Joyce and Usyk could create a lot of problems for Furyuri. And it will be completely different problems. Although I still consider Tyson the favorite in both of these fights.

The other day, the top British coach shared his forecast for the fight Oleksandr Usyk – Tyson Fury. And the promoter of the WBC champion Frank Warren has no doubts about the ward: He will definitely shorten it.
