Volkanovski gave his prediction for the Gaethje and Holloway fight

Reigning UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski shared his opinion on the upcoming BMF title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway, which takes place April 13 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas.

“It’s an exciting fight and it definitely won’t make you miss it,” MMAJunkie quoted the Australian as saying. “We know Gaethje’s style – he’ll try to find his opponent’s jaw, bet on it. He can be calculating, but his main objective is to turn the lights out on his opponent.”

“Max can miss a punch, but you still need to have a good enough strategy to hit him. Just throwing out the occasional punch is not going to catch a guy like Max. But like I said, Gaethje knows how to be calculated and won’t throw punches for nothing.”

“Max has a legendary chin – believe me, I’ve tried to hack that thing many times. If anyone can do it, it’s someone like Justin Gaethje, who is from a heavier division and knows how to put 110 percent into a punch. If I had to bet, I’d bet on Gaethje, but Max still has a chance.”

Alex Volkanovski will return to the octagon on Feb. 17 at UFC 298 in Anaheim, facing the division’s No. 3 ranked fighter, Elijah Topuria.
