Vladimir Mineyev will be released from the SWO

Vladimir Mineyev’s trainer, Rasul Magomedaliev, explained how his ward will be able to prepare and hold two fights with Ivan Shtyrkov while being a serviceman in the zone of the special military operation.

According to the Russian specialist, the fighter, who two weeks ago became a deputy of the Donetsk People’s Council, will be exempted from the Special Military Operation.

“As far as I know, he is a deputy, and deputies are exempt from the SWO,” Magomedaliyev said in an interview with the channel “Ushataika”. “When I was in Kalmykia, I learned this news there. This is good news because he will be able to fully prepare”

The Russian fighters will have their first fight on November 18 in Sochi under kickboxing rules, and will conclude their confrontation with a rematch under mixed martial arts rules in 2024.

Vladimir Mineyev, 33, who holds the AMC Fight Nights middleweight title, last fought on September 15, knocking out former Bellator champion Rafael Carvalho in the second round in a kickboxing bout before returning to the UFC.

Mineyev’s fee for the two fights with Shtyrkov will total thirty million rubles.
