The current AMC Fight Nights middleweight champion, Vladimir Mineev, puts his sports career on hold and begins training for the CBO zone.
This Russian fighter told the news publication TASS.
“Yes, at the moment my career is being paused,” Mineev said. “Will I have additional training before being sent to a special military operation? Yes, like all volunteers. I’ll go to school like everyone else. You have to remember your skills, learn something new”
Vladimir Mineev, 32, was one of 300,000 Russian citizens who were partially mobilized but received a reprieve to fight Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez in kickboxing, which he won by TKO in the third round.
Mineev had his last fight according to the rules of mixed martial arts in October last year at the AMC Fight Nights 105 tournament, finishing in the title fight with a technical knockout in the third round of Magomed Ismailov.
