If a boxing match between Vladimir Mineev and Magomed Ismailov ever goes ahead, the reigning AMC Fight Nights middleweight champion plans to knock out his former opponent in the third round.
Mineev said this in an interview with the channel “Ushatayka”.
“I have already answered this question and gave my prediction – let me remind you that, as in MMA, I will knock him out in the third round,” Mineev said. “Let him first fight with Shtyrkov – maybe Vanya will beat him, and then this question will generally sink into oblivion. A magician needs to be very strong to win.”
At the same time, Mineev confirmed that this fight is not a short-term prospect, since at the moment he has put his career on pause and is preparing to be sent to the NWO zone.
“Right now my sports career is coming to a halt because everyone knows what decision I made. Many people try to troll me for not being there yet, but the people who do this do not understand the terminology of ‘mobilized’ and ‘volunteer’ at all. Mobilized, these are those who received a summons and came – they were immediately taken to the military registration and enlistment office, dressed, given weapons, and they had already left for training. With volunteers, as in my case, it’s a slightly different story.”
“After the battle, I underwent a military medical commission, a psycho-physiological examination. Now we are waiting for some documents that need to be submitted in order for me to be included in the lists of the unit. This is a normal story, it takes time. A certificate of no criminal record is made up to three weeks, and they have not yet passed from the moment of the battle “
Last month, 32-year-old Vladimir Mineev became the owner of the REN TV Fight Club title in the heavyweight category, defeating Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez by TKO in the third round in a kickboxing fight.
Mineev had his last fight according to the rules of mixed martial arts in October last year at the AMC Fight Nights 105 tournament, finishing in the title fight with a technical knockout in the third round of Magomed Ismailov.
Ismailov, after losing to Mineev, fought two fights according to the rules of boxing, defeating Olanrevaja Durodola and Alexander Ilich by unanimous decisions, and also won by unanimous decision against Alexander Shlemenko in a duel according to MMA rules.
