Former Bellator heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov will resume his career on March 29 as part of the “REN TV Fight Club” super-series, and his opponent will be Britain’s Oli Thompson.
The Russian fighter announced the upcoming bout on social media. There is no information about the regulations of the match yet.
Oli Thompson, 44, has already made two appearances on REN TV’s Fight Club, sensationally knocking out Alexey Oleinik in the first round in an MMA bout last May, and losing by technical knockout to Vyacheslav Datsik in a boxing match in August.
Vitaly Minakov, 39, had his last fight in October 2021 at Bellator 269 in Moscow, losing by technical knockout in the third round to Suriname’s Said Souma due to a finger injury.
