The “eternal” WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KOs) went to the gym in the morning of August 20 and, apparently, after training, wrote down a parting address to compatriot Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs), who in the evening Saudi Arabia will enter the rematch against Briton Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) to defend the IBF, WBO and WBA titles in the same weight category.
“Friends! Today, August 20, another battle for Ukraine will take place,” said the mayor of Kyiv. “Let this be a sports duel, but victory in everything is important for us today.”
“And the whole world will see the victory of Ukraine,” said the head of the Kyiv city military administration, practically giving a forecast for revenge.
“Sashko! We believe in you. We are sick. Let’s keep our fists! Victory will be ours. Glory to Ukraine,” Klitschko summed up.
Usyk took the titles from Joshua in September 2021. Our rematch preview: Usyk vs. Joshua: MythBusters.
