Former Dominant UFC Champion Lost at ONE Championship Tournament
Singapore hosted the ONE on TNT 1 tournament. In the main event of the evening, former UFC flyweight champion Demetrius Johnson faced current ONE champion Adriano Moraes.
The fight ended with an unexpected knockout. Moraes delivered a powerful uppercut in the second round and knocked Johnson down, after which he finished off with a knee to the head. This early loss was the first in Johnson’s career, he had previously lost only by decisions and made 11 successful defenses of his title in the UFC.
