A welterweight fight between Vicente Luque and Ian Machado Garry has been added to the card for UFC 296, which takes place Dec. 16 in Las Vegas.
UFC CEO, Dana White, has officially announced the Brazilian-Irish clash.
On Aug. 12, Vicente Luque put his career back on track after two straight losses by defeating Rafael Dos Anjos by unanimous decision, and the undefeated Ian Machado Garry picked up his sixth UFC victory a week later with a unanimous decision win over Neil Magny.
Vicente Luque and Ian Machado Garry are currently ranked tenth and eleventh in the UFC welterweight division rankings, respectively.
As a reminder, the main event of UFC 296 will be a welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington.
