Former world champion in three categories Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) in an interview on
ESNews named his top 5 in the lightweight division (up to 61.2 kg), where he has been performing in recent years and still intends to win all four prestigious titles.
– Can you name the top five lightweight fighters?
– No problem. Haney… I always don’t like this question because you have to talk about yourself. I don’t like it, but I need to put myself on this list. … (Gervonta) Davis, maybe (Isaac) Cruz, Ryan Garcia and maybe (Shakur) Stevenson. I might even put Stevenson in third place. Haney, Davis, Stevenson, Cruz and Garcia.
Recall, on October 29, Lomachenko returns to the ring in a duel against unbeaten American Jemaine Ortiz (16-0-1, 8 KOs). The fight will be the main event of the Top Rank boxing evening in New York (USA).
