Vadim Nemkov named a potential opponent in Bellator

If the Bellator organization continues to exist, Russian fighter Vadim Nemkov, who left the bantamweight championship belt vacant, plans to challenge the winner of the heavyweight title fight between Ryan Bader and Linton Vassell.

“I would like to go to Bellator 300, where Bader and Vassell will fight, and challenge the champion there,” Nemkov said in an interview Igor Lazorin. “But again, it is unclear the situation with the sale to Bellator, what will happen next. We don’t have any information in our team about it yet, so we are training, preparing further for new fights”

According to Nemkov, he is personally more interested in the fight with Vassell, as the victory over Bader is already in his asset.

“I would be more interested in fighting Vassell. I’ve already fought Bader, so it would be a rematch. I beat him, won convincingly, so it would be possible to fight Vassell. One of the reasons why I decided to move up to heavyweight is to avoid endless rematches with the same opponents. I want new fights, new challenges”

Recall that the Bellator 300 tournament will take place on October 7 in San Diego, and its main event will be a lightweight title fight between Russian Usman Nurmagomedov and American Brent Primus.
