Ukrainian top boxer Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) is 36 years old today. On his birthday, he opened a fundraiser to restore an apartment building in the hero-city of Irpen near Kyiv, where in March 2022 the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped the Russian horde advancing on Kyiv from the northwest.

As a result of hostilities with the invaders, the quiet town was badly damaged: some skyscrapers and entire residential complexes were burned, broken or partially destroyed, the number of destructions in the private sector is even greater.

Usyk said that he gives two-thirds of the required amount for the restoration of one house.

“Today is my birthday. The only thing I want is the victory of Ukraine. I want to thank everyone who brings it closer –
said Alexander. — Yes, I am launching a fundraiser together with UNITED24 for the restoration of an apartment building in Irpin. This will allow 40 Ukrainian families to return to their homes. We need 12 million hryvnias. I will personally donate 8 million and I ask you
help raise another 4 million. Your donations are the best birthday present anyone could wish for.”

This is not his first major donation: Usyk will build 10 houses for families whose homes were destroyed by the Russian Federation in Moshchun (which can easily be given the status of a hero village).

On January 11, 2023, Alexander for some reason turned to the Russians, although this is a meaningless exercise: “You are the Third Reich in all its manifestations.” At the same time, he advised the Russians on the territory of Ukraine, as well as lovers of the Russian Federation and the “scoop” from among the locals, “to dump into your orkostan.”

Meanwhile, Usyk’s fight against WBC champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 23 KOs) seems to be preparing for the beginning of spring. He will be for undisputed heavyweight champion status in an era of four major titles for the first time in history. Yesterday, Fury’s ex-coach warned him about the fight with Usyk
