The rematch between the current and former unified heavyweight champions Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Briton Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will take place in Saudi Arabia, said show organizer Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Boxing).

The first fight between the big guys took place in September at Wembley (London, England). Usyk won by decision of the judges, but was forced to give revenge, since such a clause was spelled out in the contract.
Usyk vs Joshua 2 was close to a breakdown due to the criminal invasion of Russian troops into the territory of Ukraine. The champion joined the ranks of the defense, helped defend the country from the invaders. Later he agreed to a rematch. It is expected to take place on July 23rd.
“We have already agreed on the venue for the fight,”

By the date of the event: it is possible to postpone for 1-2 weeks, because we need time to fully promote the event. But in any case, the fight will definitely take place, we have agreed on a venue, both sides have agreed to all the conditions.
“I don’t hide it, the negotiations took 10 days longer than expected,” the promoter does not hide. – But now we are at the final stage, that is, we are engaged in paperwork. Why have the negotiations dragged on? That’s what happens when the event is so big. We are very glad that everything is left behind. We are looking forward to the official announcement. The date? In the meantime, it became known that an American coach would prepare Joshua for Usyk. But the former mentor of the British knows exactly how to beat the Ukrainian. Interestingly, the local expert does not strongly believe in the chances of a compatriot: Joshua has only one chance in a rematch with Usyk.
