Usman Nurmagomedov revealed that he’s looking forward to Brent Primus

Reigning Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov shared his opinion on his upcoming fight with American Brent Primus, the winner of which will advance to the Bellator lightweight grand prix finals.

“I don’t understand why he keeps saying he’s going to beat me – does he really believe that?” the Russian said at the pre-event press conference. “I respect this guy, he’s a former champion, but this Saturday I’m going to let him feel that he’s slow and old.”

“The most important thing for me is to win every next fight. It doesn’t matter if it’s a grand prix or just a title defense. The most important thing for me is not to lose. And I don’t believe this guy can beat me. He says he’s motivated, but what happened to his motivation in the fight against Alexander Shablia? What happened then? I don’t have anything else to say about it.”

Recall that the lightweight title fight will be the main event of the Bellator 300 tournament, which will be held on October 7 in San Diego.
