Undefeated Russian fighter has been given a contract with the UFC

Undefeated Russian welterweight Magomed Gadzhiyasulov is among the fighters who were awarded a contract with the UFC at the conclusion of Dana White’s Contender Series qualifying show in Las Vegas.

The bout between the Russian and Bolivian Jose Medina went the full distance and ended with Gadzhiyasulov winning by unanimous 30-27 three-round unanimous decision, with Medina, who showed a combative and competitive nature, also being signed to the world’s strongest league. Both welterweights were taken to hospital after the fight.

In addition, Rodolfo Bellato, Victor Hugo and Mauricio Ruffy were added to the UFC roster. The latter finished Russian Raymond Magomedaliev with fifteen seconds left in the match, leaving sparring partner Islam Makhachev without a contract.
