The fourteenth number four of the UFC lightweight division, Umar Nurmagomedov, did not ignore the statement of Conor McGregor, who accused the team of the Russian in the use of banned substances.
“The one who runs from USADA has spoken. Shut your mouth, old fart,” Nurmagomedov wrote in the social network, addressing the Irishman.
Two days earlier, McGregor, commenting on the Russian fighter’s complaint that UFC matchmakers can’t organize a fight for him, pointed to the doping scandal involving his brother Usman Nurmagomedov as the main reason why no one is eager to share the octagon with him.
It should be noted that the Irish fighter left the USADA testing pool after breaking his leg in a fight against Dustin Puryear, and played no small part in the world’s strongest league ending its cooperation with the American Anti-Doping Agency as of 2024.
Umar Nurmagomedov is riding a four-fight win streak in the UFC, having knocked out Raoni Barcelos as early as the first round in his last fight. According to the undefeated 28-year-old Russian, he is ready to return to action on February 17 or March 9, taking part in UFC 298 or UFC 299, respectively.
