Umar Nurmagomedov challenged Peter Yan

UFC lightweight division No. 10 Umar Nurmagomedov has issued a challenge to his compatriot Peter Yan, who snapped a three-fight losing streak by defeating China’s Song Yadong by unanimous decision at UFC 299 in Miami.

“Congratulations to Petr,” the Russian wrote on social media. “Good working win. August 3 – me against Petr, or me against Corey. It’s about time! Let’s go!”

Nurmagomedov also shared his opinion on the title fight between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera, in which the American won a dominant victory by unanimous decision.

“Marlon Vera is a lion when he dominates and a chicken when they dominate him. Weak! Be strong in every situation!”

A week ago, undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov returned to action after more than a year off, defeating organization debutant Bekzat Almakhan by unanimous decision, but was forced to return to the fight after a knockdown in the first round.

Note that Cory Sandhagen offered Umar Nurmagomedov to fight at UFC 303, which will be held on June 29 at International Fight Week in Las Vegas, but apparently, the Russian is not satisfied with this date, and before August he is not going to return to the octagon.
