Umar Nurmagomedov addressed the UFC

UFC lightweight division number fourteen Umar Nurmagomedov, who has recovered from shoulder surgery, has appealed to the leadership of the world’s strongest league with a request to organize a fight with any opponent who agrees to go against him in the octagon.

“Please explain to me why no one from the UFC’s lightweight division is calling my name?” the Russian wrote on social media. “Hey UFC, I don’t care who I’m fighting – I just want to fight!”

Nurmagomedov also commented on rumors that the UFC wants to re-schedule his bout with Corey Sandhagen for February 10. According to the Russian, at the moment the American is not ready to accept a fight with him.

“We can meet him in the future, but now I want to fight. I don’t see the point in waiting for him. I need to be more active. I’ve already lost a lot of time. We’ll fight him when he’s ready.”

Umar Nurmagomedov, 27, is riding a four-fight win streak in the UFC, having knocked out Raoni Barcelos as early as the first round in his last fight.
