Ode Osbourne was deadly accurate with his hands at UFC Vegas 56.
“The Jamaican Sensation only required a vicious counter strike using an overhand right and blast Zarrukh Abashev, putting him on the floor during an exchange early in the round. As soon as Adashev hit the floor, Osbourne poured on a few more punches to render him unconscious, with the stoppage coming at just 1:01 into the first round.
” We prepared that — calm and patient,” Osbourne stated after his victory. I have struggled to get my feet under me going from one gym to the next. I was truly blessed to move out of state to Vegas. It’s been good.
” I knew that I would get him something sporting. It was obvious that I could not be precise or clean. It was up to me to fight .”
.
Adashev, who came out flashing quick hands and fast combinations of the feet, was the aggressor when the fight began. Osbourne was happy to look at counters and stepped back each time Adashev throws. This is how he won the fight.
With Adashev looking for another barrage of punches, Osbourne returned fire with a perfectly timed overhand right that landed flush on the Uzbekistan native.
Adashev fell down to the canvas, with Osbourne quickly following him to land a few more shots until the referee stopped the fight.
The knockout served as a second win in a row for Osbourne, and he wasted no time calling out his next opponent by targeting another flyweight who picked up a win earlier in the night.
“Jeff Molina, where you at?” Osbourne shouted. “Let’s go.”
Molina was quick to respond and tried his best to make UFC matchmakers’ jobs easier.
