A few days ago, 56-year-old heavyweight legend Mike Tyson told the world how Hulu’s streaming “stole his story.” On August 25, streaming begins showing an 8-episode biographical series about the boxer “Mike”, and Tyson is indignant about this, because the filmmakers “did not pay him a cent.”
At the same time, Mike spoke warmly about UFC President Dane White, who, according to him, turned down Hulu’s lucrative offer of several million dollars.
“He refused because he values friendship and treats people with dignity. I will never forget what he did for me,” Tyson said.
White told how it happened:
“We were on the verge of a deal with Hulu to promote the biography of Mike Tyson. My head of production came to me and said: “I heard that Tyson does not like all this.” Then I called Mike and told him that we agreed with these guys about the deal. He replied: “Dana, they fucked me.” And I said, “Then I’m out of the game.” I canceled the deal and told Mike it was over and we weren’t going to be promoting this show for Hulu.”
And Tyson also told how he slept with a prison consultant so that he could have his sentence knocked off.
