UFC President made a statement about the fight Nikita Krylov

The canceled fight between Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann may take place in the very near future.

This was announced at a press conference after the UFC Fight Night 220 tournament by UFC President Dana White.

“In the middle of the show, we learned that Krylov had stomach problems,” said the head of the organization. “He really wanted to fight, so the doctor worked with him, tried to do something, but it didn’t work and the fight had to be cancelled. You know, these things happen. They don’t know what happened to him. Probably some kind of intestinal virus that struck him, or it was due to a weight race, who knows what it was.

“Now we are discussing with them the possibility of a fight in two weeks. We definitely don’t want to force them to cut weight next week, and we’ll give them a couple of weeks. God knows what happened to Krylov – let him get better, and we will build on this.

If Krylov’s recovery drags on, Spann will get another opponent.

“One hundred percent. We’ll take care of Ryan and figure everything out. We have this option in stock.”

Recall that the main event of the UFC Fight Night 220 tournament was canceled an hour before the fighters entered the octagon, as a result of which the headliners of the event were middleweights Andre Muniz and Brendan Allen, whose fight had the status of a co-main event.
