The participant of one of the most legendary fights in the history of mixed martial arts, Stefan Bonnar, has passed away at the age of 45.

According to the official version, the cause of death of the American fighter was heart problems.

The participant of the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, Stefan Bonnar, lost the final match of the TV project to Forrest Griffin in 2005, however, the epic fight of the light heavyweights, which ended in a unanimous decision of the judges, allowed the organization to overcome the crisis and eight years later was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, becoming part of the Fighting wings.”

In the strongest league in the world, “American Psycho” spent fifteen fights, scoring eight victories and suffering seven defeats. The last fight in his career, Stefan Bonnar spent under the Bellator banner, in November 2014, losing a split decision to Tito Ortiz.

According to available information, in recent years, Bonnar had problems with alcohol, and in April of this year, the fighter’s house burned down completely, after which a fundraiser was organized on the GoFundMe website to help his family, who had lost all their property.

This year, the death of Stefan Bonnar becomes the third loss of the world of mixed martial arts after the death of Elias Theodorou and Anthony Johnson.
