UFC champion Alex Pereira stumped fans with a riddle

Former UFC middleweight champion and current UFC bantamweight titleholder Alex Pereira has offered fans a puzzle, the answer to which will likely be information about his next fight.

“30+300=3,” the Brazilian wrote on social media.

It’s safe to assume that the second summand is the UFC 300 anniversary tournament, which the UFC champion is probably going to participate in. If the first summand is the pound-for-pound weight Pereira plans to make, the sum would mean a third UFC title, which the Brazilian fighter expects to add to his collection.

Theoretically, Alex Pereira could move up to the heavyweight division and face the division’s interim champion, Tom Aspinall, but perhaps this conundrum has another solution. Furthermore, in a recent interview, the Brazilian stated that his recent head-to-head confrontation with Cyril Gagne does not mean that he is going to try his hand at a third weight class.

As a reminder, UFC 300 will take place on April 13 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and three bouts for the anniversary event have been announced so far.
