UFC 299 kicks off on March 10 at 2:00PM ET in Miami, with the main event featuring reigning UFC flyweight champion Sean O’Malley making the first defense of his title against Marlon Vera.
What adds intrigue to this contest is the fact that four years ago, the Ecuadorian inflicted the only defeat of his career on the American, defeating him by TKO in the first round.
In the event’s second main event, which features five rounds, former interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Puryear will attempt to keep French prospect Benoit Saint-Denis, who is riding a streak of five early wins, out of the title race.
Opening the main card of the tournament will be former UFC flyweight champion Peter Yan, who will attempt to get his career back on track after three straight losses against Song Yadong.
The live UFC 299 event will be available for free on Match TV, Match! Fighter, Match TV’s official channels on Rutube and Odnoklassniki, as well as on the UFC Fight Pass digital subscription platform.
The main card of the event will begin at 6:00 Moscow time, with Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera tentatively set to step into the octagon at 8:00 Moscow time.
