UFC 298 tournament salaries

The California State Athletic Commission has released information on the guaranteed fees for the UFC 298: Volkanovski vs. Topuria tournament, which kicks off in a few hours in Anaheim.

The event’s headliner, reigning UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, will receive $750,000 for stepping into the octagon, while his opponent, Elijah Topuria, will earn a minimum of $350,000.

The guaranteed fees for the runners-up, Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa, will be $300,000 and $250,000, respectively.

Russian Roman Kopylov, who opens the main card of the numbered event, will receive at least $80,000 for his performance.

At the same time, all fighters, except for the participants of the two main bouts and Mackenzie Dern, have a chance to double their fees in case of victory.

Whittaker, Costa and Dern can get $100,000 on top, while the title clash between Volkanovski and Topuria does not include a bonus.
