UFC 297 kicks off on January 21 at 2:30 Moscow time in Toronto, Canada, with the main event being a middleweight title fight between the division’s reigning champion, American Sean Strickland, and the challenger to his belt, South African Dricus Du Plessis.
In the number two main event of the numbered event, top UFC women’s flyweight division representatives Raquel Pennington and Mayra Bueno Silva will square off for the vacant championship belt vacated by the retired Amanda Nunes.
Opening the main card will be Russian welterweight Movsar Yevloyev, who will face Britain’s Arnold Allen. If he wins, the Russian will move into the top five of the division and become one of the leaders in the title race.
The live broadcast of UFC 297 will be available for free on Match TV, Match! Fighter, Match TV’s official channels on Rutube and Odnoklassniki, as well as on the UFC Fight Pass digital platform on a subscription basis.
The main card of the event will begin at 6:00 Moscow time, with Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis tentatively set to step into the octagon at 8:00 Moscow time.
