UFC 286 weigh-ins: Covington insures title fight

In London, the official weigh-in ceremony for the participants of the UFC 286 tournament took place, the main event of which will be a welterweight title fight between the current division champion Briton Leon Edwards and former belt holder Kamaru Usman representing Nigeria.

The headliners of the event had no problem reaching the championship limit of their weight category, showing exactly 170 pounds (77.1 kg). The same weight was shown by the reserve participant of the title match, the American Colby Covington, whose appearance at the weigh-in was a big surprise.

Participants in the second most important event of the event, lightweights Rafael Fiziev and Justin Gaethje, also successfully coped with the weight race, fixing 156 pounds (70.8 kg) each.
