The UFC is targeting a return to Australia in early 2023, with things expected to be made official this week.
Multiple sources confirmed that UFC 284 will take place in Perth on February. 11. Perth Now was first to report the news.
The official announcement will take place at the RAC Arena on Tuesday by Roger Cook, Tourism Minister. Alexander Volkanovski, featherweight champion, will also be there.
It’s the first event since UFC 243, which saw Israel Adesanya win the undisputed middleweight championship over Robert Whittaker in October 2019. The February event will also be held in Australia. This will mark Perth’s return after UFC took place in Perth on the same day. It was the last time UFC had been hosted in Australia. Yoel Romero knocked Luke Rockhold’s in the main.
The card has not yet announced any fights.
