Tyson Pedro has looked better than ever in his last two appearances inside the octagon including his stunning first-round finish at UFC 278.
The Australian delivered a lightning quick finish after landing a devastating front kick to the body that sent Harry Hunsucker down in a heap on the canvas. Pedro followed up with one more punch as the referee rushed in to stop the contest with the end coming at just 1:05 in the first round.
“It has been a hard camp to make it happen, but that’s why it’s important,” Pedro stated. “It feels amazing to be back.”
As one of the most popular betting favourites on the card, Pedro was confident and calculated with his moves during early exchanges. He also respected Hunsucker’s power when he fell from heavyweight.
The first blow Pedro delivered was a quick, left-handed jab that cut Hunsucker’s legs and placed him on wobbly feet.
Pedro saw that Hunsucker was injured and he surged forward. That’s when Pedro uncorked the kick which saw his toes digging into Hunsucker’s stomach. This caused a grimace in his eyes. Hunsucker hit the canvas holding his midsection as Pedro connected with the fight ending punch.
After dropping back-to back fights which also saw Pedro miss more than three years, Pedro now looks as if he is back in full force.
