The WBC heavyweight championship belt, owned by the Briton, will not be at stake in the fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, however, the result of the match will fall into the official boxing record of its participants.

This was announced last Thursday by representatives of the World Boxing Council, giving an official explanation about the upcoming confrontation, which will receive professional status. At the same time, some details of the match, such as the number of rounds and the size of the gloves, remain unknown.

Three days earlier, it was officially announced that the boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou would take place on October 28 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

34-year-old Tyson Fury is undefeated and will enter the fight with 33 pro wins and one draw to his credit. The assets of the “Gypsy King” wins over Derek Chisora, Dillian Whyte, Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder.

Francis Ngannou, 36, who has no experience in professional boxing, left the UFC earlier this year, vacating the heavyweight championship belt, after which he signed a contract with the PFL league, where he plans to debut in 2024.
