British WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) was about to end his career after his third fight against Deontay Wilder last fall, seriously afraid for his health.

The boxer spoke about his experiences in an interview
The Sun.

“I knocked him out in the 11th round, and it was cool, but still not without nuances,” Tyson said. – In the locker room, I felt the back of my head, and I had bumps there that looked like fists. I didn’t know if my brain was damaged. I didn’t know what was wrong with me.”

“I was very scared because I had huge swellings on the back of my head. I thought it could all end in brain damage. I had a concussion, I didn’t remember anything. I guess when you get knocked down like that, you don’t remember much. I thought: “How many times have I fallen, four?” Whereas in fact I fell twice. And I thought to myself, “You know what? Perhaps it’s time to tie (with boxing).” That’s what happened after the third fight with Wilder, ”recalls Fury.

Recall that already in April of this year, the Briton again entered the ring and successfully defended the title in a duel against compatriot Dillian Whyte. After the fight, Fury announced his retirement, but has already made it clear that he is ready to consider options for another comeback.
