Now we can say that officially.
British WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs), as expected, decided to continue his career and is determined to have another, third fight with compatriot Derek Chisora (33-12, 23 KOs) .
Recall that in April of this year, Fury defended the title by knocking out Dillian Whyte, after which he “said goodbye to boxing.”
Tyson fought Chisora in 2011 and 2014, winning on points (UD 12) and ahead of schedule (RTD 10).
“I decided to come back to boxing because I could be the first heavyweight champion in history to hold two trilogies,” Fury said. One with Deontay Wilder and one with Derek Chisora. I always said that at the end of my career (once again) I would fight Chisora. And here we are, breaking all records again and creating new precedents.”
Separately, Tyson announced the appointment of another new head coach. According to the Briton, now his longtime friend and companion, 28-year-old compatriot featherweight Isaac Lowe, will now be responsible for his training.
“When I was with Peter[Fury]Isaac was with us,” Fury said. — When I was with Ben (Davison), Isaac was with us. When I was with Sugar Hill (Steward), Isaac was always with us. He always gave me cool information. We are a great team. We’ve always been together and we’ll end this together too.”
Previously, Fury recorded a video of Chisore and called it an offensive word.
