British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) was the first to look away after a protracted visual duel with the offender in last year’s fight Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs). Their press conference was held in the Middle East – where the revenge will take place.
The two will fight again on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
At stake will be all the same WBA, IBF and WBO world champion belts that were in September 2021.
Earlier, a short video for revenge was released – “let’s do it again for Ukraine”, and two posters.
Do you know how much Usyk and Joshua will earn for a rematch? The figures were revealed to us in the British media. Which of these is true, who knows.
Promoter Joshua Hearn is convinced that Usyk will not be able to cope with the power of his client in the return fight, but the WBC champion Fury believes that the new British coach will only make things worse and does not believe in Joshua’s success.
