UFC welterweight No. 8 Jeff Neal had to publicly explain why he, being a fairly well-known fighter, still works as a waiter in a restaurant.
“Saw UFC welterweight Jeff Neal serving as a waiter at the Texas Roadhouse in Grand Prairie – Dana White should be paying his fighters well,” one fan wrote on social media.
“I have no problem getting paid – I just work to stay busy,” replied the 32-year-old American. “I tend to do stupid shit when I’m not busy. Tell me next time, how are you?
In March of this year, Jeff Neal broke his two-win streak, losing by rear naked choke in the third round to Shavkat Rakhmonov. The American will fight his next fight on August 19 at UFC 292 in Boston against the Irishman Ian Machado Garry.
