Tom Aspinall named his most dangerous opponent

UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has named a former division champion who, at the peak of his form, could give him the most trouble in the octagon.

“You know what I say every time I see Daniel Cormier – I think he would be a real nightmare for me,” MMA Frenzy quoted the Brit as saying. “He moves great, fights great, goes at you all the time. It would be a very difficult challenge for me.”

“But I believe I have enough power to knock out anybody. So yeah, I think I could beat him, but stylistically, he’s a terrible opponent for me. But I love DC a lot – a huge salute to him!”

Former UFC bantamweight and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier ended his career in 2020 with a loss in the final match of his title trilogy to Stipe Miocic.

Tom Aspinall won the interim UFC heavyweight championship belt last November, knocking out Russian Sergey Pavlovich as early as the 69th second of the match.
