Tom Aspinall has risen in the UFC rankings

British heavyweight Tom Aspinall, who made short work of Pole Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night 224 in London over the weekend, improved his position in the organization’s official rankings, moving from fifth to fourth place in the division.

The updated rating is published on the official website of the UFC.

From the fourth line, Aspinall displaced Curtis Blades, in the confrontation with whom he suffered his first defeat in the world’s strongest league a year ago, injuring his knee already in the fifteenth second of the fight.

Tybura, who lost to the British by technical knockout at around 1:13 of the first round, dropped from tenth to eleventh, which allowed American Derrick Lewis to return to the top ten.

Having gained a landslide victory, Tom Aspinal announced that he wants to see as his next opponent the winner of the duel between Cyril Gan and Sergey Spivak, who retained their second and eighth positions in the ranking, respectively.

Russian Sergey Pavlovich remains the first number in the UFC heavyweight rating, and his compatriot Alexander Volkov is ranked seventh in the division.
