Tom Aspinall agrees to another fight in the UFC

The fifth number of the UFC heavyweight division, Tom Aspinall, who has fully recovered from knee surgery, announced that he had already agreed to the next fight.

“We have verbally agreed to the fight and I am ready to return,” the Briton told BT Sport. “Perhaps someone will laugh at my words, but I am serious about beating Jon Jones. This is a dream fight that I have to earn.”

The 29-year-old British heavyweight won five early victories in the UFC, including dealing with Andrey Orlovsky, Sergey Spivak and Alexander Volkov, but in July last year, already at the 15th second of the first round, he suffered a knee injury and was forced to refuse to continue the fight against Curtis Blades.

There is no information yet about who will be Tom Aspinall’s next opponent, but the most likely candidates for a fight with the Briton are Frenchman Cyril Gan and Australian Tai Tuivasa, who occupy the first and sixth lines in the heavyweight division ranking, respectively.
