The conqueror of two weight divisions and the current unified champion in the second featherweight American Shakur Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) reacted to the words of compatriot Paul Malignaggi – the other day he began to praise the ex-lightweight hegemon Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) ) and stated that everyone is trying to avoid fighting him.

“When Lomachenko was directly asked about the fight with me, he replied that he was not interested in it,”
Stevenson writes. – But Malignaggi claims that everyone only says his name out loud, but no one wants to fight him. This is a false narrative. I’m ready to fight anyone. And when it comes down to the fight, I hope you keep your word and put your money on it, champ!”

Stevenson has recently been increasingly reminiscent of a boxer from Ukraine. He even rebuked his promoter Bob Arum (Top Rank) – allegedly he behaves inconsistently: “All because I am not Lomachenko.” Stevenson announced his readiness to fight with the Ukrainian back in May.
