Both perform at streaming DAZN. Bivol Presents Matchroom Boxing Eddie Hearna and Ramirez Golden Boy Promotions Oscar De La Hoya.

Bivol in 2016 became the “interim” WBA champion, and then, without fighting, he was first promoted to the status of a “regular” champion (WBA World), and then to the owner of a “super title” (WBA Super). The Russian made a name for himself in May – in a voluntary defense he beat the absolute champion in the division below the Mexican Saul Canelo Alvarez.

Ramirez is a former divisional champion. He has been playing light heavyweight since 2019. In May, the WBA eliminator did not notice the resistance of the German Dominik Bösel.

De La Hoya said the other day
through social networksthat this fight will take place in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) or in Los Angeles (California, USA).

In early July, it was reported that Bivol’s opponent was almost determined – Hearn made an offer to an unbeaten fighter. And even earlier, Ramirez talked about the upcoming fight: “What excuse will Dmitry come up with this time?” According to promoter Hearn, Bivol will return to the ring in October.
