Undefeated UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev spoke about his attitude towards Mike Tyson and why he did not go on a podcast to the legendary boxer.
“Ali [Абдель-Азиз] said Mike Tyson wanted something, but I didn’t go,” Chimaev said in an interview with Hustle MMA. – There was no great desire. As a fighter and athlete, I really like him, but I don’t like the fact that a lot of things happened to him. I don’t know… Violence, pills, marijuana, Muslim, non-Muslim… But still I respect him as a fighter. And as a person, perhaps, because he went through a lot, and because of this, the person broke down, did a lot of bad things. Nobody knows what will happen to me. It happens that a person is decent and good, and then he can end up in a psychiatric hospital.
Chimaev has 10 wins in 10 fights in MMA. He fought his last fight at the end of October at UFC 267 in Abu Dali, defeating Lee Jinglian by choke hold.
