The venue for the Volkanovski and Topuria fight has been announced

UFC 298, the main event of which will feature a featherweight title fight between the division’s reigning champion, Alexander Volkanovski, and fifth-ranked Elijah Topuria, will take place Feb. 17 at the Honda Center Arena in Anaheim, Calif.

The location of the numbered event was officially announced by UFC president, Dana White.

Alex Volkanovski made an unsuccessful foray into the lightweight division a month ago, losing by first-round knockout to the division’s reigning champion, Islam Makhachev, at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi. In July, the 35-year-old Australian successfully unified the interim and current UFC featherweight titles with a third-round TKO of Yair Rodriguez.

Ilia Topuria, 26, of Georgia, is undefeated and is riding a six-fight win streak in the organization, most recently winning a unanimous decision over Josh Emmett in June.
