Former world champion and current boxing columnist Johnny Nelson believes that British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) needs to take a break, leave boxing for a while.

In September last year, Joshua lost the WBA Super, IBF, WBO belts to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and failed to regain them in a rematch. After the second defeat in a row, he did not behave very adequately: he threw the belts out of the ring, tore out the microphone, and was marked by an emotional speech. I burst into tears at the press conference.

It is for this reason that Nelson and
thinksthat Joshua needs to recharge his batteries: “I think he needs to take a break for a year. He would have to sit, reboot, take his time, find the optimal gym, return hunger. And when the right time comes, he himself will feel that he is ready to return. He has achieved so much. Especially since he started boxing at the age of 18. It’s just incredible. But now he is broken, depressed. He cannot survive two consecutive defeats to Usyk. He does not need to return until he regains his former strength, until he regains his former confidence.

Nelson is the same columnist who understands perfectly well that in order to attract attention, you need to throw a good thing at the fan. Earlier, he said that Usyk is an unremarkable fighter that he would definitely beat him in his time.

Who do you think will win the Usyk-Fury fight? Nelson has the answer. Earlier, the expert said that if Usyk retires, then Joshua will regain his former motivation.
