37-year-old American “Bronze Bomber” Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) came out on top in the updated ranking of the top 10 heavyweights on the planet according to The Ring Magazine. The trigger for the knockout’s rise to No. 1 was his quick 1st round win over Robert Helenius.

Note, however, that the first in the ranking of the magazine does not mean the best. There is also a champion according to The Ring – he is Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs). See how he was handed the “magazine” belt.

Usyk said when he will fight with Wilder

So, the rating of the magazine is lower.

Champion – Usyk

1. Deontay Wilder
2. Anthony Joshua
3. Joe Joyce
4. Andy Ruiz
5. Dillian Whyte
6. Luis Ortiz
7. Joseph Parker
8. Filip Hrgovic
9. Frank Sanchez
10. Zhang Zhilei

Why isn’t WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury there? And he defiantly refused The Ring belt. Despite the Briton’s demarche, ignoring him in the rankings is a rather dubious step by the editors, since now there is no smell of objectivity.

If you haven’t seen it yet, then Wilder and the girl released a cool track: the puncher sings and dances.
